This Privacy Policy explains how FreshTank ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
1.1 You give us
- Account info — full name, mobile number, and (optionally) email.
- Address book — saved service addresses including house number, area, landmark, city, state, pincode, and optionally GPS coordinates you choose to share.
- Booking details — tank type, capacity, date/time slot, add-ons, and any notes you add to a booking.
- Payment info — handled directly by Razorpay; we never store your card or UPI credentials. We retain only Razorpay's reference IDs and the final amount.
1.2 Collected automatically
- Device IP, time zone, app version, and approximate location when you use map features.
- Crash and diagnostic logs to help us fix bugs.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, including OTP verification over WhatsApp / SMS.
- To deliver the booked cleaning service — share your address and contact number with the assigned crew.
- To process payments and issue receipts via Razorpay.
- To send booking notifications, status updates, and (if opted in) promotional offers.
- To improve service quality, comply with legal obligations, and detect fraud.
3. Sharing
We share data only with:
- Assigned crew — name, mobile number, and address required to perform the service.
- Payment gateway (Razorpay) — order amount and identifiers; their privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Communication providers — for OTP and notification delivery (WhatsApp / SMS).
- Government authorities — when legally required.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
4. Location data
Map and reverse-geocoding features use Google Maps. Location is requested only when you actively use those features. You can deny location permission and continue to add addresses manually.
5. Data retention
We retain account data while the account is active. After you request deletion (see Section 7), the account is flagged and your profile is hidden from regular access. Order, invoice, and tax records are retained as required by Indian law (typically 8 years).
6. Security
Passwords are not used; access is OTP-based. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. JWT sessions expire after 30 days. We restrict access to production data to authorized personnel only.
7. Your rights
- Access & correction — view and edit your profile and addresses any time from the app.
- Deletion — request account deletion from the in-app Settings; we will process the request and contact you at support@freshtank.in.
- Withdraw consent — for marketing messages by replying STOP or via app settings.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
